Temporarily Suspending the Dooney & Bourke Question Service

Due to my super busy schedule and the fact that Christmas shopping has already begun, lately I have not been able to spend the time I would like on this blog.

Therefore, I am temporarily suspending the free service I provide whereby I answer questions about Dooney & Bourke handbags.

I don’t want to give you false hopes that your question will be answered in short order.

I still have about 30 questions in the queue to answer so I will be working on those as I can fit it in.

Hopefully, I will resume the service after the first of next year when I can answer questions in a more timely manner.

So much to do, so little time !!

This blog is a labor of love of vintage All Weather Leather Dooneys and I am always glad to help with identifying and authenticating bags free of charge. It is my way of contributing to the knowledge base out there in hopes it helps prevent fraudulent sales from occurring.
Many of the answers are already on our website or this blog, so enjoy your browsing !

If you are selling your Dooneys, the process is outlined here

You can always buy authentic Dooney & Bourke bags on our website.

  1. I have a bag I bought used and the number inside is M2 150921,It has a red, white and blue tag saying Dooney & Bourke, inside. The leather handles are tan leather and the sewing is excellent. Is this a real Dooney & Bourke? Thank you..

  2. Does Dooney and Bourke have a jean bag with red interior and if so what is the policy when it rips in side I love the bag but it’s ripped so I really don’t want to use it ? Do you repair for free ???
